SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) — The 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees that our government shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion.
So, what is our government doing about religion? Under President Barack Obama’s leadership, the U.S. government has embarked on a program designed not only to eliminate all expressions of Judeo-Christian faith from public view, but to actually suppress organized religion altogether.
You think not? Let me cite but a few examples:
In April 2008, Obama claims that Christians “cling to guns or religion.”
In May 2009, Obama refuses to host services for the National Day of Prayer, an observance put into law by Congress in 1952.
In August 2011, the new health-care law (Obama-care) supersedes religious conscience. The government is subsequently sued by the Catholic Church.
In February 2011, the White House instructs the Justice Department to stop defending the federal Defense of Marriage Act.
The day after North Carolina’s Defense of Marriage Amendment is approved by the state’s citizens — in a blatant attempt to capture the gay vote, Obama reverses his previous policy and expresses his support of gay marriage.
I could cite at least another dozen instances in which our president has openly shown his hostility toward Christians and Jews, and demonstrated a preference for Islam and Muslims.
I ask the reader, what kind of president sits in the White House? By appointing more than 50 czars, Obama has expanded the federal government far beyond that of any previous president. He has flagrantly and frequently bypassed Congress with his executive orders, in effect making his own laws. He has refused to uphold the U.S. Constitution, which he is obligated to defend by presidential oath. He has declined to enforce laws passed by Congress. Now he has declared war on American religion.
How much more of this can Americans take? If you are a Christian or a Jew, or not a person of faith, I advise you to vote against this man in November.
