Iranian top cleric stressed the importance of following the guidelines of late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution warning against the enemies efforts to distance Iran from the revolutionary countries in the Middle East.
Ayatollah Seyyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, Shia seminary professor, warned against the corruption of the rulers and also some Arab rulers of the Muslim world.
He quoted holy Qur'an where it criticizes the clerics who deny the truth saying, "Some rulers seek help from corrupt clerics and the result is fake faiths.
He warned against the phenomenon and said today also some corrupt rulers get assistance from corrupt clerics.
Member of Iran's Assembly of Experts said, "Today the Shia Muslims and Islamic Republic of Iran is confronted with such corrupt rulers and their assistants in the region, who are all trying to collapse Shia Muslims."
He referred to the recent anti-Shia bills passed in Malaysia and Indonesia and also the Salafi excommunicator clerics who have issued an order of Jihad (war) against Shia Muslims.
Former head of the Judicial System said, "Corruption of these clerics has resulted in corruption of the people and sectarian clashes and unfortunately some people within a denomination dare to disrespect the family of the Prophet (PBUH) and Sunni sanctities in a bid to fuel the differences while all these are the plans of the enemies because they benefit from these disagreements."
Head of Ahlul Bayt Fiq'h Foundation referred to the pioneering role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in spreading the true Islam and anti-American Shi'ism and said, "Arab rulers, instead of confronting with Israel, are confronting Islamic countries."
"Today the main challenge for the Islamic republic of Iran is the move of the Salafis to boycott Shi'ism," said the seminary professor and added that, "We witness that Iran's support for Syria is highlighted as a Shia-Sunni issue only because the Alavids are the rulers of this country."
He said the reason behind Iran's support for Syria is opposition with Israel same way that Iran is supporting Hamas which has mainly Sunni members.
"Today Islamic Awakening has become universal that is the reason why the arrogant powers are struggling that these countries are not influenced by the Islamic Republic of Iran," said Ayatollah Shahroudi adding that fanning the differences between Shia and Sunni is the method they are pursuing for the aim.
