SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — Saudi occupied Bahrain since march 2011 , after the Alkhalifa regime could not face the revolution of Bahraini people calling for overthrow the regime who occupied Bahrain for about 230 yrs . Former Iranian Ambassador to Paris Sadeq Kharrazi condemned Saudi Arabia's military occupation of Bahrain and its plot for annexing the small Persian Gulf island to its territories, saying that Tehran is strongly opposed to any kind of military intervention in the regional states, otherwise a Saudi-like occupation of Bahrain was a piece of cake for Iran.
"What Saudi Arabia did by occupying Bahrain was not and is not a difficult and important thing to do," Kharrazi said on Saturday.
"If Iran wanted, it could take control of Bahrain in a few hours by using its rapid reaction forces," he added.
"But, these methods do not conform to Iran's logic," Kharrazi said, and added that "Iran wants security for the Persian Gulf and we showed the same policy during Saddam Hussein's era. Yet, if Saudi Arabia wants to enter a different game, it will certainly be fragile" (to Iran's response).
