Anti-Zionism Jews condemn awarding Peres with US Medal of Freedom

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — Hundreds of anti-Zionism Jews gathered in front of the White House Wednesday evening protesting to the move of US President Barack Obama on awarding head of the Zionist regime Shimon Peres with the US Presidential Medal of Freedom.

The protestors who were related to the Neturei Karta movement condemned presenting the US highest medal of honor to Peres who they said was responsible for homelessness of millions of Palestinians, particularly his move on keeping of over one million of Palestinians under military blockade for more than five years in the Gaza Strip.

Besieging the defenseless people of Gaza for such a long time, Peres has created the most tragic event of the century, the protestors said.

The Neturei Karta (literally "Guardians of the City") is a Jewish group formally created in Palestine in 1938, splitting off from Agudas Yisrael. Neturei Karta opposes Zionism and calls for a peaceful dismantling of the Zionist regime, in the belief that Jews are forbidden to have their own state until the coming of the Messiah.   — www.shafaqna.com
