Najaf Friday prayer imam: Sunnis not behind recent Shia massacre in Baghdad

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — Najaf Friday Prayer leader, Seyyed Sadr-ul Din Al-qabanji condemned the recent terroristic explosion, saying that Sunnis are not behind the blasts.

Seyyed Al-qabanji underscored the necessity of national and religious unity among Iraqi people.”

The Islamic Scholar pointed to the recent remarkable achievements made by Iraqi nation in the realm of unity and said, “We made many achievements in fighting against prejudice and dispersion among different Islamic denominations.”

“The latent reason behind recent explosion in Iraq was increasing dispersion among Muslims,” the cleric said.

“The enemies of Islam cannot reach their malignant aims via concocting such plots,” said Najaf Friday Prayer leader calling on Muslims to be more aware in such vulnerable condition.

“Fortunately Shiite and Sunni scholars hold different meetings and negotiate with each other on various issues,” he underlined.

“Muslims should know there stand quite a few commonalities among Islamic denominations especially Shiite and Sunnis,” Seyyed Al-qabanji spotlighted.
