SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — A senior Iranian jurisprudent denounced massacre of Muslims in different countries, demanding Islamic scholars to break the silence against the crime.
Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, top Shia jurisprudent and professor at Qom Seminary called killing of Muslims by their religious peers as true evil, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
In his Qur’an interpretation session held on the eve of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power), senior scholar slammed the killing of Muslims in some countries and noted, “The act that a Muslim kills his fasting Muslim and thinks that he has done right is real evil.”
He expressed concern over the chaos in some Muslim countries and called for a serious reaction by Muslim world elites.
Iranian top religious figure demanded Muslim scholars to break the silence and stressed, “This war is not to the benefit of Muslims when European countries are at peace and bloodshed continues among Islamic communities.” —www.shafaqna.com/english
