Cleric explains messages of Ramadan

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — A Senior Iranian scholar related on the messages of the fasting month of Ramadan demanding Muslims to make the best of this opportunity to send high teachings of Qur’an to the world.

Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, Senior Advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim World Affairs called the fasting month of Ramadan as the month to heighten the feelings of people and called Muslims to make the best of the opportunity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said, “Ramadan is a global cultivating camp provided by God Almighty for all Muslims to increase their humanity.”

Iranian cleric called month of Ramadan a time for emanation of Islamic morality, purity, humane feelings and also charity.

The first and most important message of the month of Ramadan is that Muslim nation has to be a carrier of Qur’an and carry means to carry out the teachings of Qur’an and also send them to the people around the world.

Head of the Supreme Council at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought also added, “Another message of Qur’an is to create balance and harmony among feelings of a Muslim and that means man cannot believe in monotheism and Islam without reviving Islamic morality within himself.” Quoting Islamic thought that he who bothers an orphan or ignores the poor denies the religion.

Ramadan is the ninth month of Islamic calendar when Muslims observe fast, the fourth pillar of Islam.

This month is widely celebrated among Islamic countries with recitation of Qur’an, feeding the poor and helping the desperate. —www.shafaqna.com/english
