Ramadan is the holy month in which many Muslims devoted their time in prayers and giving charity therefore seeking for the mercy of Allah, many mosques organized Quran tafseer (the translation of Quran) and many Islamic scholars give seminars in order to keep motivating people to steed fast in their worship throughout the month.
After the first-ten days of the month, children as well as teenagers are participating in cultural activity called “tashe”. In Hausa language tashe literally refers to activities which involve: folk dancing, traditional songs and comedic plays, act in order to entertain people. The players roam from house to house during day and night entertaining and they receive money in return. Some of the players roam in market places during the day and they also receive items or money from the marketers, these activities last for the period of ten days.
During the last ten days of the Ramadan Muslims according to the holy Quran believed in a miracle night of Kadır, many endeavor their time during the mid-night going to Mosques for a prayer called tahhajud.
