Iran concerned over use of chemical gas against Bahrainis

SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) - Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Arab Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian voiced Iran's concerns over use of chemical gas against the Bahraini people. Amir-Abdollahian told IRNA that the critical situation in Bahrain is escalating.

Condemning the move by certain western countries to supply the Bahraini government with lethal chemicals, the Iranian official regretted that tens of Bahrainis, including women and children, have been killed or injured by use of such chemicals.

Criticizing Bahraini government's indifference towards legitimate demands of its nation, he said the government is blatantly violating human rights.

Amir-Abdollahian then criticized the military presence of al-Saud in Bahrain, adding the Bahraini crisis will be settled only through diplomacy.
