SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) — Iraq police sources said here today that six wanted persons were arrested north of the province.
General Hussein Abdul Hadi told Aswat al-Iraq that "the six persons are members of Qaeda organization who were arrested in security raid in Suwaira area, 135 km north of Kut city".
The six persons were implicated in armed attacks against the civilians and Iraqi armed forces, as reported by the General.
He pointed out that the raid was done according to intelligence information.
Kut city, center of the province, lies 180 km south east the capital, Baghdad.— www.shafaqna.com/english/
