SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) — Bahrain Center for human rights activists was hit today, Zainab Al-Khawaja was shot in her leg in the third incidences to target activists within a week. An official in Bahrain Center for Human Rights in monitoring and follow-up Yousif Almahafdah said that "the incidence of serious wound and prolific, but stable condition."
Khawaja was participating in protest in Puri village south of the capital Manama, before riot police started launching sound bombs and tear gas as well as rubber bullets and shotgun. Yousif said who was a witness to the incident that he saw a security man, "shot an explosive tear gas intentionally on Khawaja's leg," noting that "the number of a car was 4380," which belong to the police.
This is the third case, which recorded in a matter of a week the police force targeting activists after the injury Secretary General of "ALwefaq" Sheikh Ali Salman, deputy secretary-general Hassan Marzouq Alouhdodi in protest last Friday. The activists said that a large number of protesters were injured today to disperse a demonstration in Puri.
