Egyptian Shias call for Muslim unity

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — Shia people in Egypt asked their fellow Muslims to keep their unity, refraining from dispersion in this country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

After attacking some shia houses in Tanta town recently, Shia youth announced in a statement that all their houses in this country are Hosseinniyeh.

They underlined that they are sorry about the order Al Azhar gave in the case of building the first Hosseinniyeh in Egypt.

Al Azhar announced that building and establishing these places lead to dispersion among Muslims in Egypt.

The university underlined that the importance of unity and proximity among Muslim nations should not be fallen on deaf ears and all Muslims should eschew from any behavior or move (such as building Hosseinniyeh) which leads to dispersion among Islamic denominations.

Shia people in Egypt spotlighted that they do not need any Hosseinniyeh, inasmuch as their houses are Hosseinniyeh.

They also asked Al Azhar to issue a fatwa calling on Egyptian Muslims to refrain from extremist acts against Shia people in this country.

Shia people in Egypt underscored the necessity and importance of unity among Muslims and asked their religious brothers and sisters to prevent any showdown and conflict over minor issues. —www.shafaqna.com/english
