"Israeli" strict measures around the Ibrahimi Mosque

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — The IOF have step up security measures around the Ibrahimi Mosque on Thursday while raiding and searching the shops and houses surrounding it.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that dozens of Israeli soldiers were on the Ibrahimi Mosque entrances, checking the worshipers' identity cards, and raided shops and houses close to the mosque causing a state of fear among the citizens.

One Israeli soldier had been stabbed at the Ibrahimi mosque entrance in the last few days by a citizen of the town of Halhoul north of the city.

Dozens of Israeli settlers have prevented, on Thursday, the residents of Yatta town to the south of Al-Khalil from going to their farms, and intercepted the citizens near Dora.

Local sources stated that settlers of Maon settlement which is established on Palestinian lands to the east of Yatta town prevented residents from accessing their agricultural lands and harvesting wheat and barley, and threatened them for the fifth day running under IOF protection.

Eyewitnesses also affirmed that settlers from Negohot settlement which is established on Dora town's lands intercepted citizens who were wondering on their lands near the settlement where they had gathered in an attempt to attack the citizens.

Israeli settlers escalated deliberate attacks on Palestinians in southern Al-Khalil during recent days under IOF protection where they threw stones at citizens' houses and vehicles in southern Dora town while the soldiers attacked people with tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets.  —www.www.shafaqna.com
