Pakistan: Shia city of Parachinar plunged into darkness after terrorists hit electric tower

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — Parachinar has been plunged into darkness after terrorists damaged electric supply tower in lower Kurrum Agency.

The power supply was recently restored after 8 days in Parachinar. Reports from Parachinar said that terrorists had full control over lower Kurrum Agency and they sabotaged peace in the area whenever they want.

People of Parachinar suffer from lack of electricity in their area as summer brings scorching heat for them.

Parachinar is the capital of Kurram Agency, FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) of Pakistan. It is about 290 km west of the capital, Islamabad. It is situated on a neck of Pakistani territory south of Peshawar, that juts into Paktia Province in Afghanistan and is the closest point in Pakistan to Kabul and borders on the Tora Bora region in Afghanistan.— www.shafaqna.com
