SHAFAQNA (Shia News Association) — A man and woman were attacked with a knife during a home invasion in Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
Montreal police said someone broke in the couple's apartment in a triplex on de Laroche Street at around 4 a.m.
The suspect went into the bedroom, stabbing the 30-year-old man in the head and the 27-year-old woman in the hand.
He then fled. A neighbour heard the commotion and called police.
Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment. The man was admitted in critical condition. The woman was treated for a cut to her hand.
The motive for the attack still isn't known. Investigators are expected to meet with the victims today. — www.shafaqna.com
