Reuters faces trial over Iran’s Lady ninja assassins fake story

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) — JNN 08 May 2012 Tehran : The Reuters representative has appeared before a prosecutor’s office in Tehran for a second time to answer charges related to a complaint filed by several Iranian martial artists.

Iranian female Ninjas have sued Reuters over a February report in which the news agency had called them “assassins.”

The Reuters report also accused the Iranian government of training hired killers.

The Reuters video showed Iranian Ninjas while training in a city west of Tehran.

The news agency acted to correct the report several days after it was published. However, the report had already been used extensively by Western media to portray a negative image of Iran.

During Monday’s session, the Reuters representative presented the news agency’s final defense at the prosecutor’s office. The case will now be referred to a Tehran court.
